We visited Hong Kong for the 4th time in December-January. As before it was supposed to be concerts but due to the internal serious problems the host in HK had the concerts were cancelled. The organisation in HK has now sadly been discontinued. But friends from all over the world remains. As the flight tickets as well as hotel rooms were paid for we decided to go anyhow. First time ever we went for playing on concerts without playing on concerts. Instead we met many friends, including some musicians from Hungary that were supposed to be a part of the band and some vocalists. Music is important – friendship is more important!

Hong Kong December-January
TV shows and TV recordings
We run TV sound at Kanal10 Sweden and Kanal10 Asia – sometimes frequently and some times less frequently. The programs are live TV shows with many different music artists and guests as well as recording of morning shows. We also have educational program for the staff of the TV station and make the music for some TV shows.
Recording with James Hollingworth November 2016
In November we were to Old Barn Drum Studio to record with the Swedish grammy awarded artist James Hollingworth. Most famous for his epic children songs James is a great artist with a warm personality. As the studio owner/drummer/sound engineer Anders Köllerfors has a large collection of Ehrlund Microphones (more than 25 of them) we suggested to try a new thing: Put a pair of Ehrlund Microphones at the top of the Fender Rhodes electric piano to capture some of the mechanic. It turned out great 🙂
Williamsburg VA, USA – Writing Music
With a small portable studio for composing we went to the beautiful and historic city of Williamsburg VA in October-November and wrote songs together with Eleonora Lahti. It turned out to everything between small ideas to complete songs in a pace of two songs per day. Will continue to develop the songs eventually as a base for an upcoming album with Eleonora Lahti.
CD recording, concerts and media training in Uganda March 2016
In March we visited Kampala, Uganda for a CD recording and concerts with Eleonora Lahti. Just like last time we were here at Aflame Gospel Assembly 2013 we made a simple but working project studio by a hotel room, paced with mattresses.
Last time we came with a group of Chinese people from Authentic Worship Ministry in Hong Kong and recorded songs from there ministry. This time it was their own songs. They wrote songs and documented them by simple recording, sent to us and we arranged the songs from the basic ideas and made music tracks. We toke some equipment with us and recorded the vocals plus some piano tracks in the hotel room, Back in Stockholm, Sweden preparing the mix plus arrange some additional songs recorded to piano in Kampala.
Eleonora Lahti participated with her songs during the nights and had a concert as well. We also trained singers a and media crew while we were there.
Concerts in Shanghai February 2016
For a week in February 2016 we visited Shanghai and had 4 concerts in different environments. in one way it was hard to understand each other as it’s not that common people talk English there. But in another way, and more important way, we could easily understand each other by the music. Exciting how music is an universal language, understandable by all people everywhere.
Preparation for Uganda CD
In March we will record a CD of 9 songs on location in Kampala, Uganda. It is the second CD we record in Uganda, last was 2013. We are now working with the arrangements of the songs and making music tracks to be used when recording vocals (plus piano on two songs). As last time we will make a simple project studio out of a hotel room for a week. Studio environment is challenging when tracking vocals but it is still far away from this kind of recordings when one must find creative solutions for any problem not normally appear when recording vocals in a studio – and thats an art we like, the art of recording.
To record vocals in a hotel room is challenging, not at least with traffic noise that mattresses on the wall won’t eject with a regular studio condenser microphone. Therefor we will try out the new Ehrlund D microphone for lead vocals. For choir we use an Ehrlund M Microphone, all hooked up to a portable sound card with bused power supply for the condenser microphone when the electrical power is not stable but frequently goes down in the heart of Africa and a laptop computer. It will then be brought back to our production studio in Stockholm, Sweden for editing, mixing and mastering during spring time.

Sound Of Music represented by Torbjörn “Toby” Frisk as musician had two concerts with Eleonora Lahti in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, January 16-17 2016. We produced Eleonora’s CD seasons of change and are touring in Sweden as well as international with it
Concerts in Hong Kong December 2015
Sound Of Music produced a CD for Authentic Worship in Hong Kong. The CD has been released in 11 different languages such English, Swedish, Luganda, Manadarin, Korean and Hungarian. Except produced it we also recorded on location in Sweden, Uganda and Hungary.
December 11th 2015 singers from 8 languages from abroad, an international band, symphonic orchestra, a choir of 250 singers, dancers and 30 paining artists. As producer, arranger and musician we were there and participated in a sold out stadium
We also had three concerts in Hong Kong with Eleonora Lahti who we recently produced a CD for.
